What a week!!!

HAPPY MAY DAY!!    This week, its like Mother Nature woke up and said – I’m baaaaaack!
Trees bursting with colorful leaves, happy warblers singing, fabulous temperatures, you name it.

Celery Farm, Allendale, NJ

In my own birdwatching endeavors, I surpassed the milestone of 250 lifebirds!!!*

This week, I added to the list:
Veery, Marsh Wren , Sora, Solitary Sandpiper, Black-throated Blue Warbler, Blue-headed Vireo, Nashville Warbler, Canada Warbler, Yellow-throated Warble, Ovenbird, Black-throated Green Warble, Chestnut-sided Warbler, Northern Parula, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Prairie Warble, Black-and-white Warble, Warlbling Vireo, Yellow Warbler.

* Many, many thanks to RF, my favorite trip leader πŸ˜‰

  1. Nice lifer birds and pics–CONGRATS!
Question though–what are warbles? are they related to warblers? πŸ™‚

  2. Warbles are very closely related. They are a sub-species- and genetically linked to Weebles – little known fact, Weebles warble, but they don’t fall down. πŸ˜‰
