Migration Happens!!! – Birdy Days are Here Again!!!

Today, I was lucky to have the day off of work! And what a beautiful day to be out!!!

I took an early morning walk around Celery Farm with Rob and was treated to what he has coined “The Hummingbird Show.”

Yesterday, he had 6 (including 1 male) Ruby-Throated Hummingbirds and today, we were entertained by no fewer than 4 jewels (2 of which whizzed right by our heads.)

Another early morning highlight included a Black-and-White warbler off the path near Green Way.

Our walk yielded 24 species: (Thank you, Rob, for the report)

Mute Swan  X
Wood Duck  X
